Arrowhead Ministries - Andrew & Desma Ironside
Andrew and Desma aspire to train, raise up and release thousands of musicians and singers around the world. Their main message to musicians and singers is "Anointed Excellence" - encouraging individuals and music teams to focus on the anointing as well as developing excellence in their lives and their approach to serving God through church praise and worship.
Andrew started his Christian ministry at the age of 17 as a full time youth leader, assistant pastor, and music director at the Christian Outreach Centre in Woombye, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. He spent 10 years working with, and building, local churches. Andrew is an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer, having recorded and produced many projects over a period of 16 years, latterly recording at "Ironspiration Studios", a facility Andrew runs both for his own projects and for other recording artists.
Andrew's annual schedule includes leading worship, teaching and training worship teams, pastors and leaders throughout Europe, South Africa, the USA and Australia.
Andrew and Desma now live in Sydney, Australia and belong to Hillsong Church. They are proud parents to 5 adult children and Reggie the dog. The family has grown now that Melody is married to Dave who also has a very cute son Tim. (Check out the wedding pics) There goal is to specifically serve, assist and help their local churches around the world in any capacity, from training up worship leaders, musicians, sound engineers, songwriters, church leadership, coaching & mentoring.
We want to see churches learn to work within Gods anointing, to step up in character and strive for excellence!!!

I recently had Andrew Ironside minister for us on Sunday night and he was very good value! He sang, preached and ministered. I’m sure you would remember Andrew as he wrote most of COC’s music thought the 80s & 90s. He has a great life story as he and his wife expanded their family by adopting two children when their mother died. He has been based at Hillsong Church for the past three years, that is, when he is at home in Sydney, as his ministry takes him around the globe. I just wanted to tell you about an experience that I had a couple of years ago, where the Lord used your music to help me through a very difficult night. I suffered from a sever attac of biliary colic, and was sent to hospital, where no medication seemed to be of any help. The pain was intense, the attac had lasted from early afternoon, and I was to exshausted to pray or to do anything but lie down. I knew my husband and several other people where praying, so I just waited for the pain to go away. Late that evening I was finally left alone by the doctors for a while. Being a singer, the Lord often uses songs to remind me of Himself, and this time the chorus from your song "Your Name" popped up inside me. As I recalled it in my mind, I suddenly heard a choir of angels singing it with me. I could not see them, but I could hear them loud and clear, and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. All that night they sang with me, and I had total peace although the pain didn´t leave me until early the next morning. Of course, the presence of the Lord was all over the place, and the nurses and doctors were amazed that I was so peaceful in the midst of it all. So now you know that the song 'Your Name' you recorded on 'Intimate 1' has been sung by angels. I should have told you earlier, I suppose, but I have not got around to it until now... Thank you Andrew, for your ministry to our Youth Church. We are experiencing a new and balance of sound, due to the teaching you did on levels. The spirit of stewardship has also consumed the hearts of the youth with some of them rising up with thoughtful, voluntary service in the church.
Our senior pastor believes that you have much more to offer to the greater church and has asked us to invite you again before too long. He said,"That man has much more in his belly to offer the church than what he shared with us, he has a word for the church, he is not only a musician." Before he met you, he knew nothing about you, but He can see the fire in your Spirit the authority you carry in the spirit realm. | I invited Andrew Ironside to Townsville City Church in June this year. The impact and lift in our creative arts team has been significant and we are still enjoying the benefits.
Andrew's band demonstrated a high level of expertise and professionalism, but far more was the attitude of their heart to serve our church. | I have been meaning to email since Andrew came to visit a few weeks ago. Just wanted him to know that the ministry and input he had into our team on the Tuesday Night was exceptional, there were heaps of keys that he has put into our hands and lots of people in the Team have been talking about the things he said, weeks afterwards. It has definitely had an impact and helped things move forward.
I understand Andrew is booked to come back to us next year so that will be great! Just wanted to thank him for coming and ministering this time around.
